Drenthe

heather- moorlands - things to do drenthe Netherlands

Drenthe is a province in The Netherlands that houses many beautiful national parks and nature reserves. Drenthe is also well-known to be the province that has 52 ‘hunebedden’, aka dolmens, still located at their original location in The Netherlands. The capital of Drenthe is Assen and the province has around 491.000 people.

Most people that visit Drenthe go there to explore the beautiful Dutch nature in the East of The Netherlands. But there is more to Drenthe than nature. The province of Drenthe is filled with great things to do: Drenthe has a Hunebed- highway, old villages and some beautiful cities to discover. Besides that, the national parks are some of the must see places of The Netherlands. I hope you will love exploring these destinations in Drenthe as much as I have.
