Choosing the Right Local Guide
When booking a Dutch countryside bike tour, it’s crucial to find the right local guide who shares your passion for exploration and has a deep knowledge of Noord-Holland. And that is exactly where I come in. I’m born and raised in the top of the province of Noord- Holland (+- 1 hour by train from Amsterdam!) and still live here. This area is found in the West Friesland region, which has a very different culture compared to the lower part of the Noord- Holland province. I love sharing the beauty of my homeland and have done so since 2018 (when I started this travel blog about The Netherlands to help people explore the country beyond the crowds).
Safety and Logistics
As a local I know exactly what the traffic regulations are, which is why you will feel very safe cycling with me. Besides that, cycling safety is also the reason why I chose to only have bike tours in small groups of maximum seven people each day. And, why bike rental is included- so everyone has a nice and sturdy bike that won’t fall apart half way through.

- The tours start at 10:00 from Schagen train station (+- 1 hour by train from Amsterdam!).
- Bike rental is included.
- The tour is around 25/30 kms.
- We will cycle at a relaxing pace (I want you to enjoy the views and sights – we’re not Dutchies during rush hour).
- I am the only guide and it is in person.
- Maximum 7 people can join each day.
- The tour lasts around 4 hours (including breaks, photo stops, etc.).
- It’s priced at 99 euros per person.
