Public transport in The Netherlands is luckily for you and me, very good arranged. The trains run often and will get you everywhere very quick. There are busses, trams and metros that will help you get around as well. While you will hear Dutch people complain about the trainsystem, keep in mind that they do it because they are spoiled. Honestly, I used to complain as well. That was up until the moment that I decided that our public transport system is a whole lot better than most countries on the world. And we take it for granted.
I will be honest. In general, public transport isn’t the cheapest in The Netherlands. However, it is certainly the cheapest option that there is. Most of the time everything runs on time, and if not, shit happens.
